Cruising Gays Charlotte Nc

Monday Poem

Ithaka

If you compete your journey to Ithaca,
hope so, that is the way long,
wealth of discoveries and experiences. The
Laestrygones and the Cyclops, the angry Poseidon
, they do not fear;
you never find such on your way,
If your thoughts remain lofty, if exquisite feelings
dominate your mind and your body.
the Laestrygones and the Cyclops, the fierce Poseidon
them you will not encounter them
If you do not in your soul wear,
If your soul is not in front of you.

Hope that is the way long, full
summer morning when you know
With what pleasure, with what joy.
einfährst In yet unknown harbors.
interrupt your trip in Phoenician trading centers.
Acquire And nice goods,
mother of pearl, coral, amber and ebony,
All kinds of intoxicating essences
much you can do to intoxicating essences.
Visit many Egyptian cities,
And learning more and more of the scholar. Keep Ithaka always

in your thoughts.
is to arrive where your goal.
hurry But do not be on the trip.
Better that it takes many years,
ankerst That you as an old man just before the island
Rich in all that you have acquired in this way,
Without the expectation that wealth bestows Ithaca.

Ithaca has brought you a nice trip.
Without Ithaka you would not be broken.
Now it has to give you now.

And even if you find it poor, Ithaka has
not disappoint you. Weiser become, with such experience
you understand already, what are Ithaca.

Constantine Cavafy, 1911
